Shimes
Shimes got into the world of broadcasting accidentally on purpose. Can you guess how it went down? Yep, all for a girl. Wanting to make an impression, wanting her wanting… Well, fast forward to 2016 (a “couple” years later…) the girl is long gone, but Shimes lives on ... reaching you from airwaves across the land! Shimes has but one real question to pose to the world: “Jennifer Aniston- Would you like steak or fish for dinner?” Seriously though, Shimes has been a BIG part of Equinox Broadcasting for twenty years! He’s been equally a big part of announcing the hockey games at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena for about as long! His claim to fame (besides the obvious) is winning the NYS Chili Championships in 2004. He’s a big part of the Union-Endicott Tiger's Pride Marching Band... and kicks ass on the drums! He’s also had the pleasure of interviewing former Nascar Drivers Dale Earnhardt, Darrel Waltrip, Alan Kulwicki, and let Kenny Wallace and Kyle Petty take over the studio and take over the "Shimes in the Morning Show"... plus ... He's interviewed music artists such as Styx, Lynard Skynard, Meatloaf, Molly Hatchett, Chubby Checker, Donna Summer, Frankie Valli, Gary Lewis, and Bret Michaels. He’s also a level four hockey youth coach.

Chris O'Connor
Chris is a local girl, born and raised in the Greater Binghamton area. After earning her BA in English from Binghamton University (then SUNY Binghamton), she found herself in the radio business, got the “radio bug”, and has been doing it ever since. From Binghamton to Syracuse to Rochester and then back home again. Chris has made her mark not only in radio, but on television as well. Her hobbies include cooking; gardening; sewing; painting; and her pups, two Havanese named Kona and Hogan. Chris says about her on-air presence: “I’m not really a radio techie, don’t know the lingo, just pretty much act myself and what you hear is what you get. That’s dangerous, at times!”
